It’s Time to Celebrate!….

54,473 words. 30 days. Great satisfaction...

This past  month (November) was NaNoWriMo (NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth), and I, together with many, many other happy maniacs around the world, had signed up to write a 50,000 word first draft novel in 30 days.

As of Tuesday, I was still short of the alloted 50 K ; and the deadline was midnight on Wednesday night.

And, on top of everything else, both myself and my husband went down with a wonderful case of a combined stomach and respiratory bug as of Sunday…..

…………………………………………………………………….

well, the deadline has passed, the final trumpet sound and the big woman let loose with her aria.

And I made it again. Over 50 K. Despite everything that tried to get in the way.

I’m inviting you to join me now in a little dance of celebration ….

 \o\ |o| /o/       \o\ |o| /o/       \o\ |o| /o/

So this raises two important points-

What dreams have we given up because they looked impossible?

and…

What would we do if we thought that anything was possible?

……….

NaNoWriMo is a great experience, and if you write, I’d urge to get involved in it. It’s also a non-profit that offers great programs for free not only to run amok writers like myself, but children and youth programs all around the country.
If you’re a writer or if you’d like to support a program that gives inspiration and support to children, young people and writers of all ages, I’d urge you to visit http://nanowrimo.org to check it out and make a donation if you can.

Write on….
