We had the first big snow storm of the winter season this past weekend, and, while the snow is melting away, the memory of being snowed in for just a day lingers.
When these big storms come along, they often interupt what plans we have. They stop us in the midst of our hustle and bustle and make us wait, stop, take a deep breath and turn inwards.
So they don’t have to be a problem. A snow day can be a great day to write.
Next time, a big snow storm comes along and derails the plans you had, get your bread, milk, and de-icer, and pull your shovels out where they’re accessible.
And stock up on coffee, paper and whatever else you need as a writer.
and consider this your own little writer’s hideaway
Until the next snow day, let me provide you with one for now
