Monthly Archives: March 2012
2012 has been a rough year at the Kane house. We’ve spent a good share of this year down with one doggoned cold/ flu/ bronchitis/ pneumonia after another; and being constantly congested, exhausted, short of breath, wooly of head and sicksickSICK has made writing a challenging thing.
I’ve managed to keep writing- but it’s been hard work
…..this week I was invited to appear on another show on liveparanormal.com, The New Normal with Tchipakkan which premiered on March 7th and will be on every other week on Wednesday night from 8-9 pm.
I’ll be a guest on the April 4th show…..
We’ve talked about choosing the wrong words.

Good writers are often great readers. And a good book store (especially a good used book store) is a pearl above price…..
One such pearl is the Book Barn, a string of three different locations selling used books and media. It’s full of curious buildings, winding paths, cats, funny signs and booksbooksbooks
And it has its own anthem (reprinted with permission)
Earlier this week, we talked a bit about the question of choosing the wrong words. How words have power to harm or heal, to affect us as individuals or to change the entire world around us.
How the wrong words can do damage, and the right words can light up the darkness and show us our truths…
At that point, choosing the right words (as opposed to the wrong ones) is important, and it’s your calling as a writer to do so…
What I would like to take a closer look at here is the concept of choosing the wrong words. Or choosing the right ones…
“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.”
Robert Frost (1874-1963); poet….
