Games Writers Play – How We Met

Want another game to help you build writer skills?

How about inviting your friends to a storytelling contest. The wilder the better.

For instance, this game that I played on Facebook…

“Wanna play?…
I’d like my Facebook friends to comment on this status, sharing how you met me. But, I want you to tell a fictional story (that’s LIE, for those of you who prefer it that way). That’s right, just make it up.
After you comment, copy and paste to your wall and I’ll try to do the same for you (you might find it interesting how we met….). ”

Don’t just make your responses something to meet your obligation. Try to write something extravagant, fun, over the top. Bonus style points for something that particularly fits the recipient.

And enjoy the tales that people tell you. As a writer, you can learn a lot from watching other people tell stories as well.

So…how did we meet?….
