It’s Almost Time for NaNoWriMo…

Are you a writer? Are you working on becoming a writer? Would you like an experience that will build writing muscle, test and stretch your writing limits, teach you things that you never knew about yourself as a writer? Would you like to learn to do impossible feets of writing skill, all in an environment of funky, friendly playfulness  combined with delightfully crazy urgency?

If so,  NaNoWriMo is for you. and it’s almost here…

NAtional NOvel WRIting MOnth (NaNoWriMo) runs throughout the month of November. At this time, people sign on from all over the world to commit to write a 50K first draft novel in 30 days.

Sound impossible? It  is- until you do it, and hundreds of people achieve this every year.

I’ve been through it five times now, and my first published urban fantasy novel “The Lands That Lie Between” started out as a NaNoWriMo manuscript.

It’s a great experience for a writer, but, rather than listen to me, I’d urge you to visit and check it out for yourself.

Try it. You’ll like it; and you’ll be a better writer at the end, whether you make 50K or not. Here’s hoping that you join me in becoming a better writer and having a great time doing it.

Write on!

Catherine Kane
