In My Creative Place…

The other day, my husband and I were on our way to dinner with friends. We were running early, and, when we passed the mall where my writing group ooften meets, decided to stop and kill some time.

We got a seat in the section of Panera’s that my writing group usually meets in and I ordered my traditional Black Cherry Smoothie (what I call my “writing drink”)

And as I sat down in the spot where the writing group usually sits and took a slurp of my smoothie, a rush of new ideas on the book I’m starting work on flooded into my head. It was like someone opened a little door in my head, and I grabbed a napkin and frantically began to make notes…

I wasn’t planning on doing this, but there’s a trick to doing this- of developing rituals to trigger creativity, insight and enlightenment.

And you can do this too.

I’ll be talking about this in a future post on this blog, and I’ll be tlaking about this and a whole bunch of other ways to get in touch with your natural creativity at my creativity class on March 23, “Awaking or Re-Awaking Your Own Natural Creativity”. If you want to have all the tricks, reserve your seat and we’ll see you there…
