“For, Lo, the Winter is Past…”

Feeling kinda spring-like today. And, while the King James version is not my preferred translation of the Bible, it sure uses words in a pretty fashion.

“For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;

The flower appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land…”

Song of Solomon 2:11-12 King James Edition

(For those of you who, like me, were perplexed at first, by “turtle” the translator meant “turtledove”.

Although I kinda like the idea of a turtle sitting there singing loudly to itself…)

Hoping for better weather and more of it.
