It Was a Dark and Stormy Night…

…well, a dark and stormy afternoon, anyway.

And a knock came at the door.

“Can you get that?” I shouted to my husband. “I’m tied up here on hold.”

There was the sound of a large man trudging to the back door, and  a few minutes later, he was back with a large damp box.

My latest shipment of books was here.

I pulled out a scissors and opened the box, freeing my books from their soggy container, and a big goofy smile crept across my face. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- it’s really exciting when you open a box and see brand new copies of your book. All of those months and years of thinking and dreaming and just plain writing, all coming together in something so real.

It’s delightful- and it makes me goofy happy every time.

Wishing you goofy happiness like this of your own
