Sign Here (Writing Quick Tip)

When you’ve published a book, one of the most exciting things you get to do is to autograph it.

It’s a real thrill the first time that someone asks for your autograph. It really brings it home that you are indeed an author

So think about where you would sign your book.

When I designed my first book, this hadn’t occurred to me yet, and so I forgot to include a fly leaf in the front where I could write something funny or touching or moderately entertaining.

I’ve learned. Every book I’ve put out since then has an opening fly leaf so I have room to autograph it.

If you’re designing your own book, where would you autograph it? Will you have a fly leaf? Will you sign on the title page and is there room to do so?

Plan ahead. And enjoy autographing your books
