Christmas is very big in my family and so December is a very busy month for me (All the more so because I hand make a number of the gifts I give) So we’ve been busy with faires and conventions from Sept through November and then I’ve immediately started in to decking those halls, making those gifts and revelling in the Christmas season.
As of last week, our house looked like Santa’s workshop had been invaded by barbarian warriors. No blood, but a lot of random chaos.
The time between Christmas and New Years is a transitional period for me. It’s a time to pick up all of the bits and pieces from faire season, put away my Christmas gifts, pack away the supplies I won’t need for awhile and get my center back after all of the delightful craziness.
It’s also a time to think about the year to come, and what I want to do with it. In my last post, I talked about how, if you’re on a journey, if you want to get someplace, you need to know where you’re going and the steps and stops you plan to make along the way
So this past week has been about clearing out and clearing away the things I do not need, making a place for the good things I have been given, and giving some thought to where I want to take my life next. In health. In relationships- marriage, family and friends. In finances
And in writing. I’ve been clearing up my space to make it more conducive to writing and to learning the things I need to do to support my writing and this weekend, I’ll be sorting out what my next book will be about. I’ve got a number of topics jumping up and down and squeaking “ooo! me! me!” An embarassment of riches, if you will
So, what’s up with your writing? What are you planning to write in 2015?
