In every process of creation, there’s a messy part. Whether it’s writing or building or giving birth, there’s always a part where things look awful and confused and thrown together and ugly and you question why you even started.
The important part is to keep going...
This week has been about cleaning things out and letting things go in order to have room for new and (hopefully) better things to come in. I’ve been unpacking luggage and doing laundry and pulling things together for the next big adventure. I’ve let go of something I’ve been doing for a long time because circumstances have made it clear that it and I were no longer a good fit anymore. I have a partially finished manuscript for my next urban fantasy, and I’ve been clearing it of all the typos and excess words and begun marking places where I need a stronger plot point or a better resolution.
I’ve been thinking about my life too- where I’ve come from and where I’m going. I’m not finished with that yet- as always, I am a work in progress.
and step by step, inch by inch, I keep going. On into my next adventure
Spring is a time for cleaning and clearing, and that’s where I’m at right now
How about you?
Is there something that you’re ready to let go of to make room for something better?…
