Lots of people want to write, but they somehow can’t find the time to do it.
We all have all the time there is, and the question is more where we chose to put our priorities. We can chose what to give our time and energy to, and one place we can put it is writing.
There’s lots of ways to open up more time to write in, and one way is to simplify things.
Stop and look at your schedule. What are you giving your time to?
- Are these things more or less important to you than writing?
- If less important, is there an easier or quicker way you can do them?
- Can you delegate them to someone else?
- Can you do these things less so you can write more?
- For that matter, do you have to do them at all?
Also give some thought to whether they give you joy or not. If writing makes you happy, and mowing the lawn doesn’t, maybe you could mow less or hire someone to do it for you so you have more time for the writing that makes you happy.
Figure out what matters to you and what doesn’t. Simplify your life and decrease or eliminate the things that don’t matter to you to make time for the things that do- and fill that time with things that make your soul sing..
