Try Something Different (Writers Quick Tip)

We’re always looking for ways to learn and grow and become even better at being 12180792_10153705594124375_16463828_oourselves. Want a way to grow as a writer , a reader and a human being?

Try reading something you wouldn’t normally read.

Not necessarily something you know will bore you silly (although there can be value in that too) but something that you’d normally pass over in favor of more familiar fare

  • If you like adventure novels, try a cookbook.
  • If you like do it yourself manuals, sample a romance
  • If you love great literature, try something really cheesy

Then look for the connection in this book to what you’re all about. Surprisingly enough, there usually will be something- and it may give you a whole new take on your own familiar territory.

They say we all need a vacation from time to time- so try something different.
