Last week I realized that one of the reasons that my current book, the Swans of War is so complex was that I’m working with 7 points of views plus a story told within the story, and that’s why it was hard to make things work out smoothly
Well, I’ve started untangling those and weaving them together more smoothly, but today I had another insight
Evidently my supporting characters have become so active and interesting that they’d drowning out my main character
This is going to mean a lot more thinking things through and rewrites to get the spotlight back where it belongs
And so we dance the writer’s tango- 2 steps forward and 1 back
So how’s your writing going?
